De Saint-Gall Orpale Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Millésimé represents the pinnacle of this house’s expertise, reflecting the pure elegance and complexity of Chardonnay grapes from the prestigious Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs region. This champagne is made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes, carefully selected from renowned Grand Cru villages such as Avize, Cramant, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
A portion of the wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, helping to preserve the freshness and minerality characteristic of the finest Côte des Blancs terroirs. Following secondary fermentation in the bottle, Orpale matures on lees for an impressive 12 years, resulting in exceptional complexity and depth of flavor.
It achieves a perfect balance between freshness and richness, with fine bubbles and a long-lasting finish that leaves a distinct mineral trace. Orpale is ideal as an aperitif for special occasions, but it also pairs beautifully with dishes such as chicken with truffles and mushrooms or veal roast with chanterelle mushrooms.
The Champagne house De Saint-Gall represents the pinnacle of elegance and tradition in champagne production. Relying on prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne, their winemakers create wines of exceptional purity and complexity.
De Saint-Gall combines expert knowledge and cutting-edge technology to produce high-quality champagnes. Their main focus is on the Chardonnay variety, which reaches its finest expression in their Blanc de Blancs cuvées. They also carefully work with Pinot Noir grapes, crafting balanced and elegant wines.
