Tintern

Tintern is a traditional cheddar cheese hailing from Abergavenny. This hard cheese is made from pasteurized cow's milk. It's sold in a distinctive green waxy covering and it's named after the village of Tintern in Monmouthshire. The texture is dense and creamy, while the flavors are tangy, creamy, herbaceous, and slightly sweet.

The cheese is flavored with fresh chives and shallots. It's recommended to use it as a part of a ploughman's lunch or in soufflés and omelets. Pair it with a glass of red wine.
