"Booking is highly recommended if you want to eat there, but the burgers there are damn tasty. There you can eat your burger in a soft muffin bun instead of the classic one, which is slightly less fulfilling. The Dr. Zian burger is made with premium German beef, Stilton cheese, and heavenly melty cheese, in all simplicity. The meat is tasty and very tender, the cheese very melty."
"When we say that the beef here is juicy, we really mean it. In fact, after a few bites, everything else that’s sandwiched between the bun will be absolutely drenched in burger juice. The intensely flavorful beef, lashings of burger juice, gloopy American cheese, mustard and fried onions created a taste combination quite unlike any other that we’ve had in recent memory. This was so juicy and so messy that I almost felt wrong for eating it."
"Get stuck at one of the large chunky tables for a long-haul meaty experience. The Bird’s burgers are mighty: 250g of freshly minced meat is smothered in molten cheese and caramelized onions, with a toasted English muffin, perched jauntily atop the sloppy pile. Alongside this glistening beauty lies an enormous pile of hand-cut fries, one of the restaurant’s highlights."
A gem of a burger joint that has almost morphed into a religious experience, The Bird is tough to rival. This American dive bar/restaurant takes pride in their meat - German sourced beef for their burgers - and their place on the pedestal is well deserved. Their towering burgers are built on English muffin buns, and the cheesy, greasy center is sure to seize you in your seat, at least while you're working on the huge portions of homemade fries, salad and pickles."
"The burger came served in a toasted English muffin which is a twist I haven't seen before but that worked perfectly, perfectly toasted and giving some added crunch. The best thing about the burger (as you would hope but which often isn't the case) is the meat which is "ground daily from premium german beef" and the patties are served pink giving the meat the opportunity to shine."
"What can I say about this burger? It was awesome. The meat was flavorful, cooked just right, texture nice and loose. Toppings didn’t overwhelm but complimented the meat, the bun was soft, an English muffin, but didn’t soak through from the juices. How can you go wrong? The chili cheese fries were amazing as well. Words can’t describe these burgers, so just go there and try them for yourself."
"I opted for ‘The Works’ with American cheese. It’s a dirty, greasy slut of a burger. Amazing taste! I’d ordered ‘mein burger’ medium rare and it was cooked to a pinky, punky perfection. It was really, really juicy and the beef juices flowed all over the great bacon and sautéed mushrooms on board this ooze-fest."
