Telmont Blanc de Blancs 2012 is an exceptional Champagne that embodies the unique character of the 2012 vintage. On the palate, it offers a fresh and vibrant attack with indulgent flavors of macaron and toasted vanilla. This harmony is enhanced by beautiful salinity and an exceptionally long finish with mineral undertones. Vinified using classic methods in stainless steel vats without malolactic fermentation, this approach preserves the wine's freshness and authentic flavors.
After bottling in July 2013, it matured for eight years in underground cellars, aging under a cork stopper, which contributed to its complexity and richness. This Champagne pairs exceptionally well with fresh oysters and other seafood, offering a refreshing and sophisticated experience.
The Champagne house Telmont was founded in 1912 by Henri Lhôpital in Damery, near Épernay, in the heart of the Champagne region of France. Since then, four generations of the Lhôpital family have passionately nurtured the tradition and expertise of crafting premium Champagne.
Today, Bertrand Lhôpital, a fourth-generation family member, serves as the cellar master and vineyard director, continuing the family’s dedication to quality and innovation. In 2020, the French family-owned group Rémy Cointreau became the majority shareholder of Telmont, recognizing shared values and a vision for a sustainable future.
This acquisition further strengthened Telmont’s commitment to environmentally responsible Champagne production. Telmont’s range of Champagnes includes various cuvées such as Réserve Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, and Vinothèque. These Champagnes are characterized by elegance, freshness, and a pronounced expression of the terroir from which they originate.
