Spiralini

Spiralini, sometimes also called scharfalini, is a variety of spring-shaped Italian pasta similar to fusilli bucati, but slightly shorter and coiled together tighter. They pair nicely with heavier, chunky sauces because their shape allows them to hold the sauce exceptionally well.


Combined with cheese, grilled chicken or fish, canned tuna, and olives or leftover roast vegetables, they also work great in delicious pasta salads, served as a side dish or meal on its own.
