Shelburne Farms, located in Shelburne, Vermont, is a nonprofit education center for sustainability as well as a working farm that produces artisanal cheeses. It was established in 1886 on the shores of Lake Champlain. The farm's dairy operation is famous for its cheddar cheese, which is made using milk from a herd of purebred Brown Swiss cows.
