"One of our favourite dishes is their grilled cheese – it is anything but typical! Two-year-old Îles-aux-Grues cheddar is a pleasure for cheese lovers. Melted cheese sandwiches caramelized onions and a mango chutney for sweetness, enveloped between two slices of a hearty walnut and pistachio bread. And trust us, add the duck confit, we have never ordered this grilled cheese without adding the duck confit, it’s worth it!"
"SO SO delicious! Highly recommend, try the scotch egg too!"
"My guest ordered the grilled cheese with two-year-old aged cheddar, caramelized onions in a nut and pistachio crispy bread with mango chutney and duck confit as an extra. This dish was beyond words. The bread was flavorful, and crunchy adding a nutty flavor to the cheese and onions. The mango chutney and duck confit worked really well together, pairing sweetness with the duck’s subtle fat flavors."
"Grilled Cheese: Crane Island Cheddar, Caramelized Onions, Walnut and Pistachio Bread with Mango Chutney. We also opted for the option plus with the addition of duck confit. Result? A massacre! Quite simply. The best grilled cheese ever! I want more."
"I decided after that to go with the Grilled Cheese – 2 year old Cheddar from Îles-aux-Grues with caramelised onions, walnut and pistachio bread, mango chutney and a little confit duck to top it all off. The sandwich was outstanding – the duck was tender and fatty, the cheese was melted nicely and had a nice sharpness to it. The onions brought a touch of sweetness as well."
"The scotch egg was to die for."
"Duck has this delicious flavor that can be easily ruined by whatever you decide to put on your plate. Just like filet mignon or lamb. But strangely it was just right. Duck confit gets a more intense duck flavor and so the old cheddar didn't overpower it."
"Your sweet tooth will be sated with an assortment of treats, including their famous cinnamon rolls."
"Their baked goods are also a must-have—cinnamon buns."
"Highlight of the visit: Scotch egg. Perfectly runny warm egg yolk & juicy spicy sausage surrounded with lightly crispy bread crumb. 10/10 for us!"
