Paskha is a Russian dish consisting of tvorog (farmer's cheese), butter, sugar, egg yolks, cream, and vanilla for flavoring. The dessert is traditionally prepared for Easter, its white color symbolizing Christ's purity and the Paschal Lamb.
Paskha is shaped into a pyramid with its top cut off, symbolizing either the Church or Christ's tomb. It is decorated with religious symbols on its sides, such as crosses or letters. The dish can be additionally decorated with nuts, dried fruits, or flowers, and it is usually taken to church to be blessed, then consumed with the traditional Easter bread known as
kulich.
