Oysters Mombasa

Oysters Mombasa is a delicious Kenyan dish made by baking oysters which are drizzled with a sauce consisting of butter, garlic, white wine, hot sauce, and either parsley or coriander. After about 8 minutes, the oysters are ready, and it is recommended to serve them with lemon wedges and hot sauce on the side.


It is believed that the dish was invented during the period of British colonialism in Kenya. Nowadays, oysters Mombasa is often served at restaurants and resorts along the Kenyan coast.
