Muscat de Rivesaltes | Local Wine Appellation From Occitanie, France | TasteAtlas

Muscat de Rivesaltes

Muscat de Rivesaltes is a sweet white wine from Languedoc-Roussillon (Occitanie). Based on Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains and Muscat d'Alexandrie grapes, these golden-yellow wines are classified as vin doux naturel—which have high levels of natural sugars.

Rivesaltes wines typically display complex aromas of ripe apricots, peaches, and exotic fruit, which are complemented by floral and citrus notes, while the acidity perfectly balances their rich and dense texture. Muscat de Rivesaltes should always be served slightly chilled and are a perfect match to foie gras, desserts, and aged or blue cheese varieties.

They also make a great aperitif.
