Maneštra od boba i komorača

Maneštra od boba i komorača is a traditional dish originating from the Kvarner area. This type of maneštra is made with a combination of broad beans (fava beans), fennel, potatoes, onions, carrots, flour, parsley, oil, salt, and black pepper.


The onions are finely chopped and sautéed in oil until golden. The broad beans, chopped fennel, parsley, and potato cubes are added to the pot, and the mixture is covered with water and a spoonful of flour. The stew is seasoned with salt and pepper, and it's then simmered until the ingredients become fully cooked and the maneštra develops a thick consistency.
