Junshan Yinzhen

(君山银针)

Junshan is a prestigious and highly prized Chinese yellow tea that is listed as one of the top ten Chinese tea varieties. The tea is exclusive to the island of Jun Shan, which is located inside Dong Ting Lake. This rare and unique tea is harvested under rigorous conditions, and the harvest period is usually very short.

Most of the harvested tea is processed as yellow tea, though some amount may be processed like green tea, which is not as esteemed. Junshan is typically very light, with sweet flavors reminiscent of fresh hay and sweetcorn while the aromas are subtle, floral, and fruity.
