Gospodski pohanac

Gospodski pohanac is an unusual dish that is traditionally prepared in the Croatian city of Virovitica. It consists of bread rolls that have been hollowed out, filled, brushed with eggwash, then fried in lard. The filling is prepared with a combination of pork brains, milk, onions, and leftover bread.

It is typically flavored with bay leaves and seasoned with salt and pepper. The dish is traditionally served while still warm.
