"Pastry: Beautifully soft but never soggy, with the trademark peepholes in the top, which dried gravy and filling gently oozes out of. "You can’t leave Wigan without eating a pie - it’s very much a local delicacy. As such, the town is full of independent bakeries, but best one of all has to be Galloways. The meat and potato pie is classically Wigan - and consistently delicious."
