Fasola Wrzawska are dried seeds of the climbing runner bean of the Phaseolus multiflorus species, produced in the Podkarpackie Voivodship, on the Tarnobrzeg Plain and in the Lower San Valley in Poland. The region has very hot summers, mild winters, fertile soil and good protection from the wind, all of which favorably influences the bean cultivation in the area.
The beans are somewhat flattened, well-developed, ripe, kidney-shaped and white, without any deterioration or damage from insects. They are quite large in size and have the capacity to absorb 20% more water than other beans. Their taste is sweet and delicate, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture, thin, soft skin and a very short cooking time.
