Drappier Grande Sendrée 2012 is a prestigious champagne that captures the essence of an exceptional terroir and an outstanding vintage. Its name originates from a parcel of land covered in ash after a fire struck Urville in 1838. Interestingly, the term “Sendrée” is the result of a typographical error on the original label—“cendrée” (meaning "ash-covered") became “sendrée.” This cuvée is produced in limited quantities from very old vines, blending 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay.

The grapes come from a small plot rich in limestone and marl, contributing to the wine’s remarkable complexity. After ten years of meticulous aging in the Drappier cellars, Grande Sendrée 2012 has reached beautiful maturity, while retaining excellent aging potential.

On the palate, it reveals an exceptional texture—creamy and dense—while maintaining vibrant energy and freshness. This champagne is perfect as a refined aperitif, but it also pairs wonderfully with dishes such as crab with grapefruit, scallop carpaccio, or Bresse chicken with truffle cream sauce.

Drappier Grande Sendrée 2012 is a true testament to the Drappier family's dedication to tradition and their ability to express the uniqueness of their terroir through outstanding wines.
