Damson Gin | Local Fruit Liqueur From England, United Kingdom | TasteAtlas

Damson gin

Damson gin is a type of liqueur that is traditionally associated with the United Kingdom. It is made with damson plums, sugar, and gin. The plums are steeped in gin for several months until the sugar and the juices are thoroughly infused.

The resulting liqueur will have a deep red color and a rich, fruity flavor. The liqueur is strained and bottled, and the fruit can be used in desserts. Damson gin can be enjoyed on its own, preferably served over ice, but it also works well in long drinks.

Combine it with mixers or sparkling wine.
