Comeback Sauce

Comeback sauce is a classic dipping sauce hailing from the American South – it originated in a Greek restaurant in Jackson. The sauce is made with a combination of mayonnaise and chili sauce, with the addition of any or all of the following: ketchup, lemon juice, smoked paprika, hot sauce, garlic, salt, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, black pepper, and onion powder.

The ingredients are simply mixed and chilled before serving. Comeback sauce is traditionally used as a dip for fish sticks or chicken fingers. It can also be added to burgers or po'boys and similar sandwiches.
