Chiroubles

Chiroubles is a grand cru appellation in Beaujolais that is praised for its fruity red wines. Made from Gamay grapes, these ruby red wines typically display notes of violets, iris, raspberries, blackberries, and wild strawberries. Though they usually have elegant tannins, the wines are light and delicate, while their finish is long-lasting and intensely fruity.

Chiroubles wines are usually enjoyed young, though some vintages may be cellared for up to five years. They are food-friendly and can best match charcuterie, cheese, poultry, pork, or fish such as tuna or salmon.
