Chavroux is a trademarked, factory-produced French cheese made with goat's milk. It is characterized by its mild flavor and a typical pyramid shape. This soft cheese has a melt-in-the-mouth texture and can be bought throughout the year.
It is often used in salads, but it can also be spread on bread. Chavroux was first produced in 1985, and nowadays there are other versions of the cheese – it can also be shaped into a log instead of a pyramid, and there are varieties flavored with rosemary, thyme, and chives.
