Chapelle-Chambertin | Local Wine Appellation From Côte-d'Or, France | TasteAtlas

Chapelle-Chambertin

This grand cru vineyard is located in the Gevrey-Chambertin commune, and it belongs to the famous Côte de Nuits (Côte-d’Or) wine region located in Burgundy. The wines are based on Pinot Noir, and they typically display complex aromas of red and black fruit, spices such as vanilla and licorice, as well as subtle floral notes of violets and underbrush.

Although they are not as powerful as the wines produced in the Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, these red wines are well-structured and complex, with a smooth and rich texture. They are a perfect match to meat stews, lamb, game, poultry, beef, or soft-centered cheeses.
