Recommendations

"It's a classic: they are the famous cachapas that are made on the Union road. You have to order them with cheese telita and pernil, accompanied by a good fruit juice with yogurt. They are immense in size and taste."
"When you get the urge to eat a delicious cachapa or a succulent pernil in Caracas, you will not have another choice then going to Cachapas Ines, you'll make your queue to sit and wait another 30 minutes to eat."
"The most popular dish? Cachapas of freshly piled corn with the country flavor of firewood stuffed generously with a memorable pernil that melts in your mouth. Yes, it is a well-earned fame."
"On a Saturday or Sunday we go with children to have breakfast at Cachapera Doña Inés, the best place to eat cachapas in Caracas. Their menu basically offers cachapas that can be chosen in three different sizes. They can be ordered alone or filled with cheese and even with double cheese ration."
"Cachapas form the basis of many traditional Venezuelan dishes and Doña Inés serves the best in Caracas. Cachapas questiono de mano, literally "handmade cheese", a fresh and sweet cheese, and / or with a side of pork. The restaurant Doña Inés has no frills, with a menu as simple as the decor, but in terms of tradition and authenticity, it is not better than ... Read more
"You'll find them in a wide variety of establishments, from fine dining restaurants down to roadside stands, but one of the best known is La Cachapera Doña Inés e Hijos, in the outlying Caracas municipality of El Hatillo. It's simple and unpretentious - plastic tables and chairs, for example - but its cachapas are delicious, generous, and come with various tasty sauces."
"Cachapa with Guayanés cheese is the star dish. But since they added the option to ask for it with pork, there is no one who could resist it."
"Cachapas, usually sold at roadside stands, are traditionally served with queso de mano, literally ‘cheese of the hand’, a soft fresh cheese, and/or with a side of pork. Doña Inés’ restaurant has no frills, with a menu as simple as the decor, but as far as traditional and authentic go it doesn’t get much better than this. The restaurant is usually very busy, especially on Saturdays and Sundays, but the long wait for the world’s best cachapa is time well spent."
"Join Oscar Hernández at La Unión, at Cachapas Doña Inés, where you will find the best cachapas in Caracas and its side dishes."
"Cachapas are Doña Inés’s specialty. Our recommendation is to order one with “telita” cheese and pernil (meat). These huge cachapas can be shared. You won’t be disappointed."

"One of the best places to eat cachapas in Caracas. It is lovely to drive to El Hatillo and eat their huge cachapas with pernil and queso guayanes. The place is run by El Mocho and the place is known by many people in the city by this name."
