WHERE TO EAT The best Burger in Germany (according to food experts)

The Bird

BerlinGermany
Am Falkplatz 5
Recommended by Per Meurling and 20 other food critics.
"The stars of the Bird experience are the burgers, they differ a lot from what you get in other places starting with the fact that they are made from high-quality steak meat which is ground on-site in the Bird kitchen. The result is an exceptional meat patty which is very compact, extremely juicy and packed with flavor."

Shiso Burger

BerlinGermany
Auguststraße 29C
Recommended by Per Meurling and 16 other food critics.
"The burgers are quite small and served in a home-baked bun, which is really nice and very fluffy. Total winner. The meat is usually very well cooked, nicely browned on the outside and juicy inside, to the point where you wonder why the hell many other Burger joints don’t succeed with this. The toppings for the burgers are fresh and crispy and, adding all these things together, this is a very solid burger that gets a lot of love from me."
Recommended by Big 7 Travel and 10 other food critics.
"You’ll find the perfect sized burger here, where they rely on the world-class toppings and quality of their beef to do all the talking. They don’t go over the top on fillings; they know that the burgers themselves are already close to absolute perfection."

Zsa Zsa Burger

BerlinGermany
28 Motzstraße
Recommended by Top10 Berlin and 10 other food critics.
"More than 20 extraordinary burgers are on their menu, such as the El Cubano for example on which you will find next to cured ham and Manchego Cheese also baked onions rings. Or what about the Bluegrass Dream - with gorgonzola. You can also make your pick from their daily fresh buns: sourdough or whole grain - it's up to you."
Recommended by Rough Guides and 7 other food critics.
"There can never be enough burger joints in Berlin, it seems. This tiny space - just a long food bar and a smattering of outdoor picnic tables - lures punters in with fresh ingredients and generous portions: the BBI burger is enormous."

Burgermeister

BerlinGermany
Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg
Recommended by Per Meurling and 8 other food critics.
"It is our shining beacon of burger love in the darkness of a long Kreuzberg night, a refuge from shitty Döner joints and, quite frankly, a piece of home."

Ruff's Burger

MunichGermany
Occamstraße 4
Recommended by Lonely Planet and 4 other food critics.
"Munich's obsession with putting a bit of fried meat between two buns is celebrated at this Schwabing joint, where the burgers are 100% Bavarian beef."
Recommended by Big 7 Travel and 4 other food critics.
"With restaurants in both Hamburg and Dresden, they serve up the perfect sized burgers that are juicy and full of flavour. Wash them down with some good German beer and you’ll soon see this is all you need in life."
Recommended by Big 7 Travel and 3 other food critics.
"The sort of place you’ll want to bring a huge appetite to. Their burgers (which come with your choice of sesame, ciabatta or brioche bun) are absolutely massive and packed full of delicious toppings. Think: bacon-fried onions, mac and cheese or goat cheese with cranberries."
