Bizzy Izzy Highball | Local Cocktail From St. Louis, United States of America | TasteAtlas

Bizzy Izzy Highball

Bizzy Izzy is an American cocktail that combines equal parts whiskey (bourbon) and sherry with pineapple syrup and lemon juice. It can be shaken or stirred and served in an old-fashioned or highball glass. Bizzy Izzy is one of the vintage cocktails first published in Tom Bullock's Ideal Bartender, a pre-prohibition bartending manual published in 1917.

The cocktail is rather obscure, and despite the highball moniker, the original version did not include soda water. Modern interpretations will often include soda water and different garnishes.
