Basotho Burger

Basotho burger is an unusual African dish originating from Lesotho – despite the name, it is not a burger but a meat dish. It's made with a combination of chicken meat, curry powder, salt, pepper, peanut oil, and cayenne pepper. The meat is rubbed with oil, seasoned and spiced, then ground and formed into patties.


They're cooked in a skillet until done, then served, not with bread but with side dishes such as pap pap (corn, garlic, ghee, salt, cornmeal) and a combination of kale, onions, and peas.
