Apple Beer is a non-alcoholic American version of the German fassbrause drink. It was first produced in America in 1960 from the original fassbrause recipe of Scholvien & Co. Today it is produced and distributed by The Apple Beer Corporation in Salt Lake City.


Apple Beer can primarily be found in the Western and Mountain regions of the United States and the Caribbean. It is light in color with a rich, fruity flavor, similar to sparkling apple cider. Ingredients include purified carbonated water, cane sugar, citric acid, natural flavors and vitamin C.
