"The menu touches the greatest hits; the croque-madame is especially good."
"Cultural heavyweights Balzac, Hemingway and Picasso were all regular patrons of this chic café, but really you need no extra encouragement to pop in besides the magical mix of ham, cheese and toasted bread. An enduring classic."
"My croque monsieur (think of an open-faced grilled cheese sandwich with ham) was perfectly fine."
"The one I ordered at the historic Deux Magots in Paris earlier this year is likely unchanged from the original — right down to the super-white square pain de mie. The slightly sweet and squishy sandwich bread gets lost in a blanket of bubbly nutty Emmental and béchamel sauce contrasted with a thin slice of good smoked ham. It remains a satisfying and ubiquitous snack."
"Take a step back in history at this iconic Left Bank café. Sip a café crème and nibble a Croque-Monsieur while sitting at an elegant red leather banquet."
"Taste a croque monsieur on the sidewalk of Les Deux Magots, where Picasso once sat."
"Brad and I both ordered the Quiche Lorraine...it was fabulous and had a wonderful taste and texture. The salad of lettuce and tomatoes with a drizzling of balsamic vinegar really brought the entire meal together."
"This bustling restaurant featured the best Quiche Lorraine I have ever had."
"If you ever find yourself in need of inspiration and a good meal, sit outside, order a croque monsieur/madame and just watch. Nothing beats a simple yet well-executed ham and cheese tartine—especially when paired with a million-dollar view."
"Amazing Quiche Lorraine at Les Deux Magots."

"I opted for a Croque Monsieur with an egg on it. At first sight, this toast is very simple, two slices of white bread, ham, melted cheese and sunny side egg on a top, but beauty is in its simplicity. When you bite in the sandwich you can taste a perfect sweetness in a combination of juicy ham, soft bread, nice bechamel and melted Emmental which is crispy on the top."
