Yolanda is a Prohibition-era cocktail that combines gin, brandy, vermouth, grenadine, and absinthe. The original recipe used one part gin and one part brandy, with two parts vermouth and dashes of absinthe and grenadine, but contemporary recipes often replace some elements or use different ratios.
The cocktail is made in a shaker. All ingredients are added and shaken with ice. The combination is then strained into a glass. It can be served in a martini or a coupe glass, and it is traditionally garnished with an orange twist. The recipe comes from the legendary The Savoy Cocktail Book, written by Harry Craddock and published in 1930.
