The Boss Hog X: The Commandments is the tenth installment in WhistlePig's iconic "The Boss Hog" series, renowned for its innovation and bold approach to whiskey craftsmanship. Released in 2023, this limited-edition rye whiskey is celebrated for its exceptional aging process and unique finishing, which draws inspiration from the Ten Commandments and the profound heritage of ancient oak.
The whiskey is aged in American oak barrels and then finished in ancient oak casks from Israel, some of which are believed to date back over 100 years. This finishing process imparts a distinctive flavor profile with rich notes of fig, toasted spices, vanilla, and earthy wood tones, creating a bold and complex experience.
