The recipe is adapted from the website of the International Bartenders Association.
4.5 cl (45 ml) (1,5 oz) Bourbon whiskey
1.5 cl (15 ml) (0,5 oz) sugar syrup
3 cl (30 ml) (1 oz) fresh lemon juice
optional: a dash of egg white
GARNISH
half of an orange slice
Maraschino cherry
Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.
Shake and strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.
Garnish with half an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
Although the resulting drink would technically be called a Boston Sour, if you decide to add an egg white, shake it the first in the shaker without ice, so it emulsifies, then add the ice and shake it again.
