Carmen Matorral Chileno Mezcla Tinta is a red wine from the Maule Valley region of Chile, produced by Viña Carmen. This wine is a blend of grape varieties: 70% Carignan, 20% Grenache, and 10% País. It has a medium body with aromas of red fruits, spices, and cedar.
On the palate, it is smooth and fruity, with good acidity and tannin structure. It is recommended to pair with red meats and pork.

Viña Carmen is the oldest winery in Chile, founded in 1850. It is renowned for its innovative approach and modern wine styles. Their portfolio includes various wine lines, such as Carmen Gold, Carmen Delanz, Carmen Vintages Series, Carmen Gran Reserva, and Carmen Reserva Frida Kahlo.
Viña Carmen is also famous for the rediscovery of the Carménère grape variety in their vineyards in 1994, a grape once thought to be lost. Today, Carménère is an emblematic variety not only for Viña Carmen but for all of Chile.
