Ouzo Varvayanni Evzon, introduced in 1950, is a traditional Greek aperitif crafted for dedicated ouzo enthusiasts. Distilled to a 47% alcohol volume, it features a dominant anise aroma reminiscent of fragrant Greek meadows, while its robust flavor evokes the pure and wild essence of the Greek seafaring spirit.

This 100% distilled ouzo can also be combined with other fine alcoholic beverages to create unique and surprising aromas.

About Varvayanni

Varvayanni Distilleries is a family-owned ouzo distillery founded in 1860 by Efstathios Varvayannis in Plomari, on the island of Lesvos, Greece. Efstathios, born in 1805 in the Cyclades, brought the art of distillation and the first copper still from Istanbul, establishing the foundation of the family business.

Over five generations, the Varvayanni family has refined the craft of ouzo production, blending traditional techniques with modern innovations. The distillery produces five distinct types of ouzo, each crafted with high-quality anise and other select ingredients, combined with crystal-clear water from Plomari, ensuring exceptional flavor and quality.

Their commitment to tradition is reflected in every bottle, maintaining the authentic essence of Greek ouzo. Adjacent to their modern distillery, Varvayanni also operates the Ouzo Museum, where visitors can explore the rich 160-year history of the family’s ouzo-making tradition.

Located in the picturesque town of Plomari, the museum highlights how technology harmonizes with heritage to create a timeless spirit.
