Tomato-growing was first documented on the island of Reichenau, known as 'vegetable island', in the early 1900s. The island's soil conditions and light, warmth, and optimal supply of water from Lake Constance make the island perfectly suited for growing tomatoes.
These tomatoes are grown only on organic substrate and are picked, sorted, and packed by hand to avoid any possible bruising. Since these tomatoes are sold exclusively in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, the short transport routes ensure customers are buying fresh product.
