Tergeste | Local Olive Oil From Trieste, Italy | TasteAtlas

Tergeste

Tergeste extra virgin olive oil is produced in the province of Trieste and obtained from the Belica or Bianchera olive varieties, which must make up at least 20% of the groves, and from the Carbona, Leccino, Leccio del Corno, Frantoio, Maurino and Pendolino varieties, which must make up at least 80%, individually or combined. Tergeste oil is golden green in color; it has a mild fruity aroma and a light to mild piquant taste.

With its rather delicate flavor, Tergeste is perfect for salads, vegetable-based cream soups, pasta, rice or fish dishes.
