Sprite

Sprite is a caffeine-free soda that is flavored with lemon and lime. The drink was created in Germany as Clear Lemon Fanta (Fanta Klare Zitrone), and it was first introduced to the U.S. market in 1961. Sprite is produced by the Coca-Cola Company, and it was invented as a competitor to 7 Up, a similar lemon-lime soda.


Soon after it was introduced, Sprite soared in popularity. In 2019, it was listed as the third most consumed soda on the market, and it is currently sold in more than 190 countries. Sprite is a refreshing, colorless soda with a distinctive lemon and lime flavor.


It comes in several varieties, and it is commonly incorporated into cocktails and long drinks.
