Decanter World Wine Awards - Platinum

2018

Sauska Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2017 is a premium sweet white wine from the Tokaj region of Hungary. This wine is crafted from a blend of indigenous grape varieties, primarily Furmint and Hárslevelű, harvested from vineyards characterized by mineral-rich volcanic soils.

The 2017 vintage benefited from a warm summer, leading to an early Aszú berry harvest starting in early September, with ideal conditions persisting throughout the autumn. This resulted in fine quality Aszú berries with excellent botrytis development.
