"Excellent patisserie started in 1969 by Cees and Petra Holtkamp in a tiny, warm and lovely shop built in 1928. Preserving the traditions and maintaining the quality, including the signature savoury sausage rolls."

"I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so I selected a lovely sausage roll, made mostly with veal in Holland. Perfectly golden, crispy on top, moist inside with a delicious filling. The filling in Holland really is very good."

"The ones at Kwekkeboom are the real deal: the pastry is made with butter, not margarine, and the meat is high quality, usually veal."
