Recommendations

"I’d never seen a Sicilian slice quite like it, a blistered rectangle of mozzarella sat in the middle of the slice whose outer edge was curled, as distinctive as the tail-fins on a classic car. Nor I have tasted any Sicilian like it. It was light and crunchy as opposed to bready and heavy. Lovely sauce and good combination of cheeses, too. Rizzo’s Fine Pizza lives up to its name."
"The crust is crisp, light, and airy, topped with plenty of sauce, a lot of Romano, and one rectangular slice of mozzarella. It’s a unique and delicious slice."
"Rizzo’s Sicilian is particularly well-suited to slice purchase; right out of the oven, we find the tomatoes have an acidic bite that mellows as the pie cools, melding beautifully with the grated cheese. There’s something about this pizza that feels like “home food” compared to the “restaurant food” of round pies, like what your friend’s Italian-American mom might have served if you went over for a quick dinner."
"This is what Sicilian style pizza is – it’s heavy on the sauce, light on the cheese, and all about the thin crust. Rizzo’s has the crust down perfectly. It’s the highlight of the pizza."
"Here is a guide to strongholds of Sicilian-square sanctity: Rizzo's Fine Pizza - The square features a dense wall around the perimeter which lends to greater stability, and it’s amped up by a sweet-tart sauce that punches right through the palate."
"It's the Rizzo signature slice, the thin crusted Sicilian, that keeps me coming back. The recipe includes copious amounts of rich, tangy tomato sauce with a single slab of creamy mozzarella flanked by bits of sharp and mild grated cheeses. All of these rest atop a thin, crispy gas powered oven crust. Very fine pizza, indeed."
