WHERE TO EAT The best Pavê in the world (according to food experts)

1

Casa Garcia

São PauloBrazil
Rua Luís Coelho
Recommended by Danielle Noce and 9 other food critics.
"First, we went to Casa Garcia to eat the pavê of dulce de leche which neither the owner knows how its made. Every day a Jewish gentleman delivers kilos and pounds of this delight in his shop, but the recipe has remained secret for almost 40 years. Several confectioners have tried to find out what he puts on the pavé, which is so special, but nobody can. I prefer to go there, have a chat with Mr. Baltazar (owner of Casa Garcia, who is all day there) and to honor this pavé that is blessed."

Ponto das Letras

IlhabelaBrazil
Rua Dr. Carvalho
Recommended by Renata Vanzetto and 1 other food critic.
"My mandatory stop is a bookstore and café Ponto das Letras to read a magazine and have a chocolate pavê. It's served in a glass in various layers, and it's sensational!"

Confeitaria Krauss

FlorianópolisBrazil
Avenida Eng. Max de Souza
Recommended by Renata Diem
"Let the drums roll for the best chocolate pavé in the world! Layers of biscuits interleaved with pastry cream and lightly bitter chocolate."
