Movia Lunar 8 Moon 2016 is an orange wine produced by Movia in the Goriška Brda region of Slovenia. Crafted from 100% Ribolla Gialla grapes, this wine undergoes an 8-month maceration period with skin contact in oak barrels, followed by bottling without filtration or added sulfur.
The result is a clear amber-colored wine with a dense texture and slowly slipping tears. It offers accentuated and fine aromas reminiscent of boiled apple, quince, apricot, and ripe pear, complemented by scents of dried meadow flowers, candied citrus, hay, nutmeg, white pepper, vanilla, honey, and herbal notes like lemon mint and thyme.
Movia is a renowned winery located in the Goriška Brda region of Slovenia, with roots dating back to the early 18th century. Since 1820, the Kristančič family has managed the estate, which today spans 30 hectares, 25 of which are vineyards straddling the border between Slovenia and Italy, encompassing both the Goriška Brda and Collio wine regions.
