La Tâche | Local Wine Appellation From Vosne-Romanée, France | TasteAtlas

La Tâche

La Tâche is a French appellation and a grand cru vineyard entirely under the monopole of the renowned Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Located in the commune of Vosne-Romanée (Côte de Nuits), the appellation produces complex red wines exclusively from Pinot Noir.

Often praised as one of the best expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy, these refined wines display dominant aromas of dark fruits, violets, spices, and licorice, while more earthy expressions of undergrowth, truffles, leather, and fur usually appear with age.

Along with its remarkable aromatic profile, La Tâche wines also boast with a dense and silky texture, a powerful body, and concentrated flavor. They are an excellent match to game, red meat, terrines and pâtés made with game, and dishes prepared with mushrooms or truffles.
