"This dessert was always such a special treat. We always bought it from a bakery. Reviewing the recipes I might just try making it completely from scratch. The tops remain very crispy and we never figured out how to eat it with a fork. We always used our fingers to lift the top and eat it first. Then we would use a fork to eat the remainder. I lived in Vancouver, Canada for many years and found a bakery and a restaurant where I could buy them. Now I back in southern Ontario (southwest of Toronto) and there is a small village bakery in Courtland hat still makes Kremes. Our family is Hungarian and this is still a family favourite."
