Shimmering deep black with an impressive beige head, the Klosterbräu Rauchbier is impressive from the look of it. The nose has the typical distinctive smell of smoke and behind it a balanced, fruity hop note from the finest Hallertau aroma hops. The smoky taste is created by using beech wood during the drying of the malt.
The velvety taste combines aromas of liquorice, smoked ham, dark chocolate and roasted caramel. A real specialty for connoisseurs and lovers of this original type of beer.
