Khunchir

(Mongolian milkvetch, Хунчир, Khunchir, Bei qi, Huang hua huang qi, 黃芪, 北芪, 黃花黃耆)

Huang qi (lat. Astragalus membranaceus or Astragalus mongholicus) is a perennial plant and one of the fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine.

It's widely known for its immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory properties. The root of the plant is the part most commonly used for medicinal purposes. In traditional Chinese medicine, huang qi is believed to tonify the spleen and augment the qi (vital energy), which helps to treat conditions such as fatigue, diarrhea, and for those with weakened immune systems.

It is also used for its cardiovascular benefits and is thought to promote urination and reduce edema.
