"You won't find a Reuben sandwich like this anywhere else besides Katz's Deli."
"Matzo ball soup, pastrami sandwiches, potato latkes-everything is what you'd expect, only better."
"Steamy hot, moist and tender, perfumed by spice and smoke, pastrami is the most voluptuous of delicatessen meats. Tasty examples can be found in almost any American city with a population of Romanian-ancestored Jews; but for the very best, for pastrami to make you plotz with pleasure, there is only one place to go: Katz’s in New York."

"Located at the heart of what’s left of the Jewish Lower East Side, Katz’s is quite simply the city’s — and maybe the nation's — best deli. Hand-cut behind a glass counter in thick, steaming slices, the pastrami is the superior deli meat."
"Katz’s Delicatessen remains the place for pastrami (as well as corned beef and brisket), and rightfully so: Not only is it a neon-signed NYC original (since 1888) and the site of the famed “I’ll have what she’s having” scene from When Harry Met Sally, but its peppery, smoky hand-carved pastrami is mouth-melting, juicy perfection. Some people make the mistake of writing Katz’s off as a tourist trap—then they go there and are blown away by its deliciousness. (True story.)"
"Excellent here is the dry-cured corned beef sandwich."
"It was genius. The chopped liver was really tasty; rich yet still light in texture. And it was nice to go back and forth between the pastrami and the chopped liver sandwich. Even for a liver lover like myself, it’s hard not to get bored of a chopped liver sandwich."
"I also recommend the matzo ball soup. It’s a very Jewish dish made from chicken broth and matzah meal that is often referred to as Jewish penicillin. It’s perfect for warming up in winter. Don’t let your eyes be bigger than your stomach as the portions are hearty."
"Very hearty and delicious, just like my friend’s mother’s matzo ball soup!"

"I like the corned beef over the pastrami, but you do you. They also have knoblewurst which is like a hot dog with more garlic to it. I enjoy that. Usually my order is half a corned beef sandwich and a cup of matzah ball soup. IMPORTANT: be sure to tip the slicers when they slice your meat."
