"The Pump Room has also launched a Somerset High Tea which is perfect as a father's Day gift; this includes an Orchard Pig cider or apple juice, a chicken and fennel sausage roll and a free-range scotch egg, as well as a deliciously sweet apple cider cake."

"The crumpets tasted fresh, were grilled to a slight crisp, soaked in butter and topped with a perfectly poached egg. I thought a heavily buttered crumpet couldn’t be topped – runny yolk filling the holes somehow manages to make it even better. A combination I’ve dreamed of ever since. Other than my mum’s, I’ve never fully enjoyed a scone – but these were good ones. Without a doubt my favourite part of an afternoon tea is the pastries. Here we had a cream-filled shortbread (buttery and crisp), a tart seemingly filled with apricot jam topped with a meringue (sticky, fruity, with a perfectly dry meringue), and a brownie (gooey, rich, one of the best examples of a brownies I’ve eaten outside of my own kitchen)."

"This gluten-free high tea at Fortnum & Mason was a hit for us! The price per person was definitely more than it was at other places, but I think the experience is worth it. If you’re going to London, save your pennies (or pounds) because you’re going to want to stop by Fortnum & Mason. A few cups of hot tea and yummy things to eat are also essential when it’s cold and raining, as it was that day."
