"Golfeados are similar to a cinnamon roll, but- I would argue- more complex. They are a bit crunchy on the outside, from the caramelized papelon, while still pillowy on the inside. The sweetness from the papelon/panela is complimented by the saltiness of the cheese. My favorite way to eat this is with a piece of Queso de Mano on top, which also helps in balancing out the sweetness."
