Garullas

Garullas is a Colombian bread made with flour, cornmeal, butter, sugar, eggs, and cuajada cheese or queso fresco. The dough is baked until it develops a golden color on the exterior. This bread is especially popular in the city of Soacha, where it can be found in most bakeries.

Garullas is typically consumed as a light meal in the afternoon hours, a practice that is locally known as el algo.
