Fronsac

Fronsac is a French wine appellation located in Bordeaux, near the Dordogne and l'Isle rivers and north of the neighboring wine region of Canon Fronsac. The wines produced in the Fronsac region are based on the blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and small percentages of Malbec.

They typically display dominant aromas of red fruit that are often complemented by hints of spices and truffles. Fronsac wines are rich and well-structured, with firm tannins which makes them a perfect pairing to grilled or roasted red meat, game, aged cheese, poultry, or confit.
