"Fish and chips can so often end up as a disappointing mush of soggy chips and batter, but you really needn’t worry about this here. The chips, which are also cooked in beef dripping, were delicious. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, they were heavenly. The batter on the fish again was unbeatable and the meaty, flaky fish in the middle was moist and soft, and not at all dry."
